Lakeside Picnic
If you live nearby a lake on in the state of over 10,000 lakes, then pack up your picnic basket and drive or bicycle to eat and cavort next to the lake. Do be sure to wear walking shoes so you two can enjoy a beautiful walk around the lake.
Garden Party Picnic
If you live in a town or city with a beautiful park and garden, trek into the garden area and set up your picnic feast by the plants and flowers. Most of these will entail parking and needing to walk a little distance to fit a fitting patch of grass to pitch your picnic upon. Dress accordingly. These locations allow for the ladies to dress up a bit more. Go ahead and wear a romantic dress or skirt reminiscent of the 19th century and early 20th century boating parties. Think floral and lace and have fun.
Picnic Indoors
Sometimes the weather is just inclement the day of your scheduled picnic. Or it is the middle of snowy or overly cold wintertime, thus precluding your desire for an outdoor picnic. Never fear! Simple embrace your inner romantic. Spread your picnic blanket across your living room floor. Turn on your favorite romantic songs and pretend you are outdoors. Read each other a few of your favorite romantic poems or quotes about love. If it gets too chilly, you can even turn on the heat or start a roaring fire in your fireplace. If you start a fire, go ahead and roast a few marshmellows to share with each other just for fun.
